A Malawian not for profit organization that focuses on using sport as a tool for engangement and development. MMM has 7 (100% Malawian) board members.

Due to different factors such as poverty and access to information Malawian children fail to reach their full potential.

We exist to facilitate the development on children through implementation of Innovative sports initiative to support capacity building and access to resources.

Our Colored Dream

  1. Support character development and behaviour change initiatives of boys and girls 5-19 years of age using sports as a tool.
  2. Support youth sports initiatives in rural Malawi, through mobilization and donation of equipment, capacity building of coaches, teachers and league/tournament sponsorships.
  3. Promote education among children involved in sports through different incentives e.g. finding education scholarships for high performers.
  4. Support capacity building of children as change agents. 

Our Staff Members

Linda Kasenda

Nickname: Limsy

Position: Project Officer / Coach (Womens Football)

A coach for the Skippers women football club, joined MMM on 1 June, 2019 motivated by passion. She has been playing football for the past 23 years and 4 years as a coach. She coaches the MMM under 10 team.

Davie Mpima Jr

Nickname: Coach

Position: Coach

A business owner with 11 years of football coaching experience which has benefitted more than 15 thousand youths. His passion for grassroots football motivated his to join MMM on 1 June, 2019. He coaches the MMM under 12 team.

Christopher Chasowa

Nickname: Pilato

Position: Coach

A business owner who played for CIVO YOUTH, KB YOUTH and BARCA FC. He joined MMM on 11 November 2021. He coaches the MM under 12 team. He considers this role as a career dream where he can use his skills to help players starting from grassroots football mature into professionals.

Memory Gama

Nickname: Memwa

Position: Coach

A business owner with 13 years football experience playing for One Goal Queens and Skippers and 7 years coaching experience. She joined MMM on 15 June 2019 coaching the Lilongwe MMM.

Memory Chisamba

Nickname: Chim'bwizo

Position: Coach

A former Blantyre Zero and Malawi National team player. She joined MMM on 5 August 2021 motivated by her love of transforming kids with a passion for sports into outstanding athletes which aligns with the MMM youth program.

Gerald Nkungula

Position: Coach

Meet Gerald. He is one of our very first coaches who joined Mpira Mmudzi at its inception some 4 years ago.

Gerald is a former professional footballer who has played at the highest level for 18 years in Malawi and Mozambique.

Gerald retired from active football in 2013 having stared for super league sides ESCOM United, Civo United, EPAC FC and Masters Security. Gerald has also represented the Malawi national Football junior teams at Under 17, 20 as well as the senior men’s team.

Gerald is passionate about youth football as he aspires to see young talented footballers expose their talent.

As a demonstration of his love for youth football, Gerald also owns Under 20 side Dynamos FC that will soon be competing in the First Capital Bank under 20 league.

Emmanuel Zoya

Position: Coach

Emmanuel is a retired footballer with 13 seasons experience of playing top flight football as a left back.

Zoya’s 13 year top flight football career is shared between 2 clubs-Capital City giants Civo United and Blantyre’s crowd pullers Nyasa Big Bullets.

A former super league Champion, Zoya also has 13 senior national team full caps plus 18 subs appearances.

Zoya is so passionate about youth football and has been with MMM for 3 years now.

His aspiration is to see young people gain exposure as they get the much needed skills from experienced footballers like him.

Aside being one of our coaches, Zoya also owns under 20 side Soccer Saints FC in Likuni and he hopes to see his side participate in the First Capital Bank Under 20 league soon.

Allan Kamanga

Position: Coach

Allan is a retired Malawi National football Team right back with 15 years of top flight football experience between 1996-2011.

Allan was part of the Flames 2010 squad that participated at the Africa Cup of nations in Angola.

At Club level locally Kamanga played for Mighty Wanderers before moving abroad to play for Monomotapa in Zimbabwe and Black Leopards, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Dynamos FC.

A CAF C coaching license holder Allan joined MM in 2021 and is responsible for our under 7s.

He is excited to be part of the MMM team as he is so passionate about youth football as he too is a beneficiary of youth football structures that exposed his talent.

Allan says he enjoys handling the Under 7 kids as these kids easily grasp instructions and once they are told something they keep it to the heart.

Abbas Makawa

Position: Coach

A CAF A Coaching license holder Abbas is a seasoned coach with over 20 years of coaching experience at different levels from youth football to top flight football.

Though he did not have a successful football playing carer which saw him just feature at junior level, Abbas has gone ahead to become one of the most successful coaches on the domestic scene having had spells with Pakeezah Blue Stars, EPAC FC, Lake Valley FC, Kamuzu Barracks and Silver Strikers.

He joined MMM in September 2019 and handles our Under 6s. His passion for youth football inspired Abbas to join MMM and enjoys handlings the Under 6 kids as they take instructions as they come.

Blackstone Ng’ombe Kapatseni

Position: Coach

Blackstone is a former footballer who played in the top flight league for Police sponsored Blue eagles FC between 95-98.

Kapatseni holds a CAF C Coaching License and is also a FIFA Goalkeeper’s trainer instructor.

Having joined MMM 2 years ago Kapatseni says he enjoys most working with kids as that makes him think fast and react instantly to situations.

George Wemba Zulu

Position: Coach

Probably the most experienced of all our Coaches, Wemba’s coaching career dates way back to 1991.

Having failed to successfully establish a football playing career, his passion for football saw George take up a coaching carer at a very tender age.

A Holder of CAF Coaching license Wemba’s highlight in his coaching career was when he single-handedly guided a then under 20 side Pakeezah Blue Stars to promotion into the elite tnm Super league.

Apart from Pakeezah, Wemba has also had spells with EPAC FC, Masters Security and Mlatho Mponela.

George joined MMM in 2021 and he looks forward to imparting his vast knowledge in youth football management on our under 14s.
